About Our Program (formerly known as the Atlantic Jubilee Program in Spiritual Deepening & Spiritual Guidance, founded in 1997.)
Contemplative Pathways is rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition of direct presence and responsiveness to God in the present moment of everyday life. Our programs start with and value the relationship participants already have with God, however named or experienced, and the prayer life that accompanies that, and proceeds from there. We take seriously the need for practiced solitude and quiet, for prayer, study and reflection, for the use of one’s gifts in care for others and for just action in our world.
We use the language, imagery, and symbolism of Christian faith to interpret the human spiritual journey, and our leadership team is rooted in this tradition. It is however, open to people of any spiritual tradition who wish to learn with us from the contemplative spiritual orientation of the program. We work to understand and respect other ways of naming and imaging the common spiritual journey of humanity.
We are dedicated to practicing this model in our own learning as a Leadership Team and in the evolving design of the program. Please click here to read more about our Core Values.
The Contemplative Pathways Leadership Team consists of graduates of the program. The team provides overall direction, teaching, support, feedback, and learning opportunities. Please click here to meet our Leadership Team and Senior Associates!
